joy to read!!
Oh Ree, I feel so bereft!!! I loved reading your
wonderfully exciting ride into Elizabethan England. I was only able
to read your book, going to and from work because of time
constraints!! Once I finished this book I felt as though I
lost my friends!!! I miss reading about Ethan and Sauda. They are
such a beautiful couple!!!
Your book is a gem!!! It was a pure, enjoyable
reading experience!! A joy to read!!
The story was warm, sweet, endearing, sexy, hot and a
beautifully written tale of passion and survival! I loved
reading about the developing relationship between the hero and
heroine. The story was fast-paced and the characters had `depth.'
The most poignant moments in the book were Ethan's confession in the
Tower and Sauda's confession at the cottage. Both showed such
vulnerability and trust!!! I shed a tear while reading those
parts of the book.
Although I worked out some of the plot twists while
reading your book, you still managed to create a few
surprises!! High adventure at its best!! Even the quirky
language used, added to the story and made me laugh at
times!!
The one thing that would have enhanced my experience
even more was if Sauda was able to have children or got pregnant!!!
That would have been a wonderful gift for this spectacular
couple!!!
Ree, I hope that this is not the last time that you
write about Sauda and Ethan!! I noticed that you mentioned that
Sauda had `sisters' who were also trained in various forms of
assassination. I hope that will lead to a possible series of
stories. That would be GREAT!! You also left the `door'
open to allow Ethan and Sauda to have more adventures!!! I
hope that they do. I would definitely buy more books that featured
these characters!!
Great Job Ree!!! I truly enjoyed this historical
romance and look forward to reading more of your
work!!

I read your first book & anxiously awaited your
second. I was disappointed because I saw that it was a
historical & do not normally like those.
Last night, I decided to buy The Lord & The Scorpian and
give it a try. Well.....I was up almost all night reading
it. Girl, that is one of the best books that I have
read. It's one of those books that makes you "feel
good."
I enjoyed it so much, I felt the need to let you know.
Thanks. You have a new fan.

P.S. I know (hope) you're working on the sequel

Shiree it show how much work and thought you put into this book.
The plot was amazing. History the clothing and the dialect was
on time and realistic. I am so happy that you written this book.
WOW!!! Ethan is what heroes are made of he is strong tall
handsome brave kind but can be rudeness' to his emeries. Sauda
is my hero. I love her. She is strong smart courageous and
beautiful. I like your version what heroes and heroines are made
of. I also like how you give the readers background history to your
characters. You let us feel their pain and joy thank you for
that most authors don't do that. When I was reading the book the
whole time. I was thinking wow.. what.. hell no.. she or he did
that. Ethan's brother James, I think that's his name,
technically that not his brother to find out James mother was
sleeping with her own cousin yike!! That is low. Hey shit
happens!!! Please tell me you not leaving me hanging you are
going to write Lucian's story. I hope his mate is one of Sauda's
assassin sister. That is a story worth reading. My vote is the
woman call the tiger. Thank you for writing that story. You out
did yourself stay strong and GOD bless you!!!!
So happy to be
your fan,

Hi Shiree
08/11/2006
I live in london, and it was by pure accident that
i found you. I was browsing the internet and came across ocean's
mist press. I then read a satyr's story - Selby and Darius, i
loved it to pieces. It made me laugh, cry and giggled like a
silly school girl(lol). Then i went on to read the Lord and the
Scorpion, and my world temporarily stopped.
This is a
rewarding novel, good plotting, sexy with plenty of action.
I bawled like a baby when i read what happened to the hero.
Bloody hell, i felt like i was part of the story, i wanted to
reach out and comfort the couple. You are a gifted writer, i am
proud to have met you.

Dear Ms. McCarver, 2/28/07
I just finished reading your book, The Lord and the
Scorpion. I love reading IR romance, but find so many to be
simplistic and predictable. Thank you so much for this delightful
and well written story: I was on the edge of my chair the entire
time I was reading it. Your character development is stellar! All
the people in your story were three dimensional and so very vivid. I
loved the strength, cunning and intelligence of Sauda and just
flat-out fell in love with Ethan. As the reader, I felt like I was
there and felt the pain, the love, the joy, the anger, and the
passion your story exuded. I loved the many twists you wove into the
plot and the surprises that continued to
present throughout your story. Most of all, I love the way you
made each chapter relevant to the scriptures you preceded them
with. You are beyond being a writer...you are a genuine
artist and a genius as well . I cannot wait until your next
installment, "The Prince and the Panther." Again thank you for
this jewel of a story.
Blessings and Best Wishes
L. Michelle
